Wyoga Lake update… they just keep on commin’

(Sigh…..) We sure get tired of reporting this type of stuff.  But it does give our city officials every opportunity to prove that our website is aptly named.

As if you hadn’t heard enough about the Wyoga Lake meeting in previous posts (found here), now we have even more to add to the mess.  We are still wondering why the city legal deartment is ignoring this whole affair.

The solution to this whole problem is for Council to admit that it made a mistake and held a meeting that was outside of Council chambers and was not open to the public as the city charter requires.

In summary:

1.  Hold all meetings in Council chambers and make sure the entire citizenry is notified, or don’t drag enough Council members together in one place to constiture a quorum.

2.  Make sure the meetings are transparent.

Here’s a way to really get council’s attention.

If the City of Stow fails to address the problems of Wyoga Lake, all Wyoga Lake residents should challenge their property tax assessments when the next re-assessment is done. When the city starts to lose money because we challenge the assessments on our devalued property (and win), then they’ll be forced to re-evaluate the situation.

There is two concerns I have in addition.

One is the mis-use of the City’s 911 emergency system by then Councilwoman Mary Bednar. You would think the vice president of council would know better than to tie up the emergency telephone system with such a frivilous phone call. I was personally standing near her during her call to the police and I can tell you other than wanting to attend what he felt was a public meeting Resident Paul Zureval did absolutely nothing wrong. Mary used her position on the council to have him thrown out of the meeting. Once four members of council and two representatives of the mayor’s administration entered the private park facility, the meeting should have become open to all of the public.

Mr. Zureval needs an apology from Mary Bednar and the rest of council. If for nothing else, in the spirit of the state’s open meeting law, he should have been welcome to attend the meeting. Mary Bednar was sore at Paul for speaking out at regular meetings of council and for that reason alone she mis-used her authority and called the police to have him removed. She even admits that to the police dispatcher on the 911 recording. Bad form Mary Bednar!

This is what I’m talking about in regards to ignorance. If you want to be taken seriously, at least LEARN how to spell BASIC words.

“Commin’”? Did you drop out in the 3rd grade?

And spare me the excuses. Losers make excuses. It’s COMIN.’

    Website credibility = 0

    Hey, who’s removing my comments?

Ahh — I see — you like censoring comments you don’t agree with huh?

Oh, learn to spell — it’s “COMIN’”

Jack H: We will no longer publish your comments until you clean up your language and stop being abusive and threatening. We expect people to comment in a manner acceptable to anyone reading the posts. This is really a fine way for a co-chair of a major school committee to act. If you are still interested in putting in your two cents, please feel free. But grow up enough to get your views across without the nasty language and attitude. SCRG moderator

Dipwad JackisSmarterThanU: Nobody removed your postings ya jerk, it takes time for all the electronics to work. This site is no faster than any other site. And by the way, “commin’” is a common colloquialism. I have never seen this site make an excuse for anything or anybody. I happen to think they do a great job.
